Job Opening: Production Technician
Classification - Nonexempt | Salary – DOE | Supervisor – Kentucky Production Manager | Shift – 3 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
GenCanna currently has an open position for full-time Production Technician at our global headquarters. In this role, the Production Technician operates under the direction of the Kentucky Production Manager to extract and refine ingredients.
Production Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operate equipment used in various stages of the production process from harvesting to packaging.
Perform harvesting, conditioning and refining techniques.
Play an active role in the Production Team’s effort to create high quality ingredients in an efficient and effective manner.
Troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, processes and systems.
Document processing data and complete logs in accordance with established SOPs.
Maintain aseptic and sanitary working conditions.
Maintain production areas and equipment including regular cleaning and maintenance to comply with regulatory requirements.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Other duties as assigned and/or necessary due to the dynamic nature of the company and our industry.
- Ability to safely life and move boxes up to 55 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat and kneel
- Comfortable wearing protective apparatuses and clothing
High school degree or equivalent.
One year production and/or manufacturing experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Possess a professional and reliable demeanor.
Possess a high degree of attention to detail.
