What is HHC?
HHC is a legal, semi-synthetic molecule that provides similar effects and is an alternative to THC. HHC may be added as an ingredient to a variety of form factors including tinctures, gummies, vapes and other popular products people use for their personal enjoyment.

What makes HHC legal?
Because HHC, like other minor cannabinoids, is converted from CBD isolate that comes from hemp, it meets the definition of hemp: “all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.” And because any of the THC is converted into HHC, it typically tests at a non-detect for THC, far below the 0.3% threshold. Taken a step further, when the HHC is diluted into a finished product, the only cannabinoids that show on a test are the two HHC isomers, 9(R) and 9(S) HHC.
GenCanna’s HHC
As with all of the products we design and manufacture, only the finest, fully vetted supplement ingredients are used. Our state-of-the-art processing facility is cGMP certified and FDA registered, which guarantees that our products are made to the highest USA and international production standards of quality and safety. And of course, we engage independent, third-party accredited labs that test all our products, supplements and blends, throughout the manufacturing process to ensure step-by-step quality, potency and purity. As your trusted vendor-partner, we’re sure you would have it no other way.

How is HHC Made?
How is HHC Made?

The resin of the Cannabis sativa plant is extracted via supercritical CO2, producing a concentrate. This extract is then further refined into CBD isolate that is then converted into delta-8-THC distillate. From there, the delta-8-THC is hydrogenated, a process that stabilizes molecules by adding hydrogen atoms across double bonds (the same process used around the world by well-established and well-known food and supplement processors). The addition of these hydrogen atoms to the delta-8 distillate changes the molecule from a “tetrahydro” to a “hexahydro” cannabinol known as HHC.
